'I'm so sorry': Teddy Swims forced to cancel two shows ahead of NRL grand final performance this weekend
Teddy Swims was forced to cancel two gigs due to ill health over the weekend, just days ahead of his NRL and NRLW Grand Final performance is set to take place Down Under.
The country music star, 33, shared the news on Instagram with his eight million followers that he could no longer perform the dates in Hawaii.
"Honolulu, I'm so sorry to let you know that both tonight's show (Saturday Sept 27th) and tomorrow's (Sunday Sept 28th) rescheduled performance will not be taking place," he wrote.
"My doctor has not cleared me to sing, and I need a little more time to recover before I can give you the show you deserve."
Fans have been reassured all tickets will be refunded.
"I hate to disappoint you and truly apologise for letting you down," he continued. "Thank you for your love, patience, and understanding.
"I can't wait until I'm back and able to sing for you again."
Although he still has days left to recover, the move has left some fans worried he might not be able to take to the stage this weekend when the Brisbane Broncos take on the Melbourne Storm at Stadium Australia.
Teddy Swims' management and the NRL have been contacted for comment regarding this weekend's shows and a possible replacement should Swims be unable to sing.
