'Four years of waiting for this moment' Aussie singer welcomes baby boy following fertility struggles
Afteryears of heartbreak, Aussie music icon Amy Sheppard has officially welcomed a baby boy!
Sheppard announced the happy news via Instagram, introducing her son, Frederick James Stuart, to the world.
"Four years of waiting for this moment," the third member of Aussie pop trio Sheppard captioned a series of sweet snaps of the newborn bub.
"Four years of wishing for you with every candle we blew out, every shooting star we saw in the sky, every quiet dream whispered when no one else could hear."
She revealed her long-awaited bundle of joy had arrived "just a few days," before Valentine's day – much to the couple's delight.
"We are filled with a kind of love we didn't know our hearts could hold, deeper and fuller than anything we've ever experienced before.
"Welcome to the world, our beautiful boy. You were worth the wait."

Sheppard, who is responsible for bringing hits Geronimo, Coming Home and Learning to Fly to the world, has been open about the fertility struggles that have kept her from motherhood in the past.
In the leadup to this happy moment, Sheppard and long-time love Lachlan Stuart documented her pregnancy journey, revealing in a candid TikTok video that their attempt at embryo transfer had failed.
"Two and a half years of doing everything right. Of hoping, trying, sacrificing. And still, our first frozen embryo transfer failed," a heartbroken Sheppard told her followers at the time.
In the video, the Geronimo singer shared a clip of her and Stuart anxiously waiting to see the results from a pregnancy test.
As she looked and saw the negative result, they embraced, trying to process that their IVF round had been unsuccessful.
In the next clip, Sheppard was shown back performing on stage.
"We found out, I said goodbye to Lachie, cried in a bathroom stall, then walked onto a stage in front of a thousand people, giving them the most unforgettable night of their lives while experiencing an unforgettable heartbreak of my own," she recounted.
But now, all that heartbreak has at long last proven to be worth it for the couple, culminating in the birth of their beautiful bub.
Sheppard and Stuart tied the knot in a Queensland beachside ceremony in 2021 after 7 years of dating, before embarking on their fertility journey shortly after.
