Almost three years after first receiving her cancer diagnosis, Teddi Mellencamp has shared a "major health update".

"Just to give a little life update to you guys ... at this point there is no detectable cancer," she said in conversation with fellow Real Housewives alum Tamra Judge on their podcast Two Ts in a Pod.

She clarified that this news does not mean she is considered to be in remission and will need to continue immunotherapy treatment for "another couple years".
"So I still need to stay on immunotherapy," she continued.
"And I'm not considered in remission or anything like that."
Mellencamp explained that she had been given the positive news after some scans at a recent immunotherapy appointment.

"When they told me I was in such shock I was like numb," she explained.
While she's excited by the positive news, she knows there's still a long journey ahead of her.
"I'm still going to be having days where I'm feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy so I'm still fighting," she explianed.
"People think just because the cancer's gone that I can't still get sick or whatever but I'm still in treatement so I still have a compromised immune system so I have to stil be careful."
But she feels positive about the ongoing treatment.
"I'll get through it."

Judge was overjoyed at hearing Mellencamp's news.
"Oh I'm so happy," she said. "That took my breath away."
Mellencamp shared the moment from the podcast to her Instagram with many taking to the comment section to share their excitment including some of her fellow Real Housewives stars.
"[Teddi], you're a beacon of hope! Your unrelenting spirit is a testament to your strength," wrote Real Housewives of New Jerseey star Dolores Catania.
"God bless you for sharing your journey - this news is the best! I have so much Love and admiration for you," she continued.
"I'm so happy to hear this. Wishing you continued health and strength," wrote Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas.
Mellencamp was initially diagnosed in October 2022 with stage 2 melanoma which later progressed to stage four and metastisized to her lungs and brain.
Earlier this year she revealed that doctors told her she had a "50/50" chance of surviving cancer.
