'Can't believe I used to do that': Dating move that left Jackie 'O' Henderson 'full of anxiety'
Radio powerhouse Jackie O Henderson has opened up about her love life and the dating move that left her "full of anxiety".
"I was always the girl who would go out on a few dates and try to be the cool, detached girl," Henderson revealed in a new interview for her T Australia cover story.
"But inside I was full of anxiety."
Now, the 50-year-old, who says she has been on several dates over the past few years, has begun to prioritise herself when it comes to dating and is putting some boundaries in place.
"Since learning about self-worth, I can't believe I [used to do] that," she told the publication.
"Now I'm happy to lay it on the table: I'm looking for a relationship. If you're not interested, don't waste my time.
"If I scare them away, they weren't the right person for me."

Henderson told the publication that she went on dozens of dates over recent years but has now changed her approach to finding love.
"I spent half of 2023 and all of 2024 dating," she said.
"I was on the dating sites and I was being set up by friends. Honestly, I reckon I've gone on about 30 [dates], at least."
But the dating apps didn't cut it for her and now she's taking a hands-off approach.

"I didn't want to go looking for it anymore. So this year I decided if it's meant to be, it'll cross my path."
Earlier this year, Henderson revealed that she has become very intentional with her dating choices.
Speaking on her podcast We Are Besties with longtime bestfriend Gemma O'Neill in February, the radio star revealed she'd "rather be alone" than settle.
She told O'Neill that for her to see someone, the relationship would need to be "really deep and amazing and really connected".
"I've been out on dates with great people who I would have a good relationship with," she said.
"But it wasn't the amazing that I know exists, and I know it will happen, I do. The not knowing [when] is the hardest part."
At just 19 years old, Henderson married radio co-host Phil O'Neill, who was 10 years her senior, before the couple called it quits five years later.
In 2003, she married UK photographer Lee Henderson, with whom she shares daughter Kitty.
The couple were married for 15 years before going their separate ways in 2018.
During the podcast episode, Henderson revealed that she "did meet someone" late last year, who she felt was "so perfect" for her at the time.
But it ultimately wasn't to be with the pair going their separate ways.
