'My whole left side went out': Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil reveals he suffered a stroke in his sleep
Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has revealed the terrifying health scare he experienced which caused the band to postpone their Las Vegas residency.
In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the musician shared that he suffered a stroke in his sleep.
"I had a stroke," Neil told the publication. "My whole left side went out."

The medical scare occured just after Christmas. He explained to the publication that he had gone to bed on Christmas night feeling fine but woke up the next morning unable to get out of bed.
The effects of the stroke were severe and Neil explains he had to undergo significant rehabilitation.
"I had to learn to walk again and that was tough," he said.
"The doctors said they didn't think I'd be able to go back on stage again. I go, 'No, no, I'm gonna do it. Watch and see."

Treatment was slow but effective with Neil slowly gaining his mobility back after months of physical therapy.
"I went from people carrying me to the bathroom, because I couldn't walk myself, finally to a wheelchair," he said.
"I graduated to a walker, and then I had a cane. Now I don't need anything. But it's like a full-time job getting back to where you feel good again."

Now, he says he is almost back to full health.
"It's been tough, but I'm back, I'm 90 - 95-percent to where I was before and it's going to be great."

While he sought treatment, Neil says "Motley cancelled the first part of the (residency) so I could get better".
The band postponed their original Park MGM residency originally scheduled for March and April, moving it to September citing at the time that Neil had to undergo a "required medical procedure".
The musician recently returned to the stage with his solo band last month and Mötley Crüe released a greatest hits album From the Beginning.
The band has now returned to their residency with shows running until October.
