'It crosses a line': Jackie O rips into paparazzi for snapping intimate moment on date

Jackie 'O' Henderson has ripped into the paparazzi for snapping pictures of her kissing a date in her own home.

Images of the radio host and podcaster kissing a man on her beachside balcony in Waverly were published by an online news outlet earlier this week.

Nine.com.au has chosen not to publish the pictures.

The radio host said the photographers "crossed the line" by filming and taking pictures of her while she was at home.

Henderson spoke about the incident on her new episode of her podcast Her Best Life with her co-host Gemma O'Neill.

"If I'm to be very transparent, I saw the photos of you having a kiss," O'Neill told Henderson.

"I felt really sad. It's actually made me... I wasn't expecting to get emotional," she continued, getting teary.

"I just felt really sad that you didn't get to, like, live your own private life."

Henderson said she didn't think there were any photographers around because she hadn't been papped on her balcony in "so long."

"You do drop your guard. People might look at those photos and go, 'But isn't she aware that she's going to be photographed?'" she said.

"But it's honestly been so long that you do get comfortable and you go, 'Oh, they're not around anymore.

"If you're out in public and you're on a date with a guy and they happen to [snap] you... you've got to expect that.

"But when you're in your own home, it crosses a line for me on many levels."

She also said the issue hits close to home because she has a teenage daughter, which makes her fear for her child's safety and privacy.

"If they're willing to have a long-lens camera and shoot directly into your private space ... that, to me, feels like a complete invasion of privacy," O'Neill said.

"My daughter has come out of the house when Lee, my ex-husband, has picked her up, and she's noticed someone there on the ground in camouflage gear in the grass, pointing their long-lens camera up at her house," the radio host replied.

"It's crossing a line."

Henderson also made a rare comment about her alleged stalker, who has been charged with stalking and harassment offences.

"That stalker knew my address and that guy was a real threat to me and my daughter," she said.

"I still can't believe that even after that situation, they're continuing to show my house publicly."

"I think your house should be the one sacred space that even if you do have a balcony, I believe that should be considered off limits because essentially it is private property."

Henderson and O'Neill met 20 years ago while they were both working in radio.

The pair became even closer when they both struggled through painful divorces that same year, describing it as a "bonding experience."
