Hugh Jackman makes first red carpet appearance since highly publicised divorce

Australian showman Hugh Jackman has made his first red carpet appearance since his highly publicised divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness earlier this year.

Jackman, 56, was spotted at the US Open today with Anna Wintour, posting his red carpet outfit to Instagram this morning.

It's the first red carpet appearance he has made since his divorce from Lee-Furness, 69, was finalised in June.

"A spectacular day for tennis! With Anna Wintour at the US Open," the caption read.

"The men's semifinals. Thank you to my fellow Aussie (Amanda Jane Wight) for sharing these photos."

Jackman is wearing a navy blue suit with sunglasses in the picture, posing with his hand in his pocket.

He is posing with the former editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, in a second picture.

Jackman has been keeping a relatively low profile since the divorce was finalised, aside from his one-man stage show, "From New York, With Love."

The show has run at New York's Radio City Music Hall throughout 2025.

In September 2023, the world was shocked by the news that Jackman and Furness had amicably gone their separate ways after almost 30 years of marriage.

At the time, the pair released a statement to People, saying in part, "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.

"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

It wasn't until almost two years later that the Daily Mail reported Furness had officially filed for divorce on May 28, 2025.

After news broke, Furness released her first statement since news of the split came about in 2023, saying she "remains grateful," but has been navigating "the traumatic journey of betrayal".

In the fallout, sources close to Jackman released statements to magazines InStyle and People, saying the actor was "heartbroken" and "disappointed" by her comments.

He has not explicitly commented on the separation aside from the combined statement the pair released when they announced their split.
