Summer House star West Wilson says it's 'scary' being out in public after controversial co-star relationship went public

West Wilson has opened up about life since news of his relationship with Summer House co-star Amanda Batula went public. 

The scandal rocked the cast, but it's also been fans who have a very strong opinion on the pair and the 31-year-old admitted that things have been getting "scary". 

He said that he and Batula are "doing our best" to have a normal relationship right now during an appearance on the Show Me Something podcast earlier this week. 

"Going out in public is kind of scary," Wilson admitted during the chat. 

"There have been so many f---ing stupid f---ing posts on the internet. Once it got to AI ones and shit, I was like, 'OK, let's talk about these.'"

Wilson addressed several of the rumours that have been circulating about him and Batula since their controversial romance went public. 

One rumour is that the 34-year-old has been "wearing all my clothes" but swiftly shut that down.

There's one image of Batula wearing a striped shirt, but Wilson confirmed that it is not his one that she's wearing. 

"People do wear striped shirts," he said. 

"People just post anything, and it works. A lot of people have been like, 'She wears your clothes all the time.' We actually do dress the same."

Wilson also shut down speculation that she has been wearing wigs during their public outings. 

In late March the couple confirmed their relationship after weeks of rumours, dropping the same bombshell statement on their Instagram Stories. 

Their relationship came after Batula's separation from her husband and fellow Summer House star, Kyle Cooke. 

Batula was also best friends with Ciara Miller, who dated Wilson in 2023 and continued to be in an on-and-off again relationship with him. 

The new couple are set to face their cast for the first time in the upcoming Summer House Season 10 reunion, which was filmed shortly after they confirmed they were together. 

Batula and Wilson were recently spotted at the airport, leaving the US for Europe ahead of the episode dropping. 

In the explosive trailer Miller lashed out at Batula at one point, claiming that Wilson is only with her to "spite" and "embarrass" her. 

"Over the past six years, I have been your f–king champion. I couldn't fathom that I'd be sitting here pissed that you're f–king my ex," Miller blasted. 

"He wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little word. And I hope it works, because he's with you to spite me."
