Romeo Beckham takes a swipe at older brother Brooklyn with poignant new tattoo

Romeo Beckham has taken what appears to be a new swipe at his estranged brother Brooklyn Beckham

The 23-year-old model and football player has debuted some new ink, just days after reports that his older brother had been getting tattoos that reference his family removed or altered.

Romeo shared his new addition on Instagram, the word "family" in italic writing on his neck and a very poignant message.

The new "family" ink is on the back of his neck, sitting above a cross and wings he already had.

Soho tattoo parlour Fine Line Hearts Club did the work, sharing the post on their social media page tagging Romeo and captioned, "Family" with a red heart.

Romeo shared the post on his Instagram Stories with fans commenting "Family is FOREVER" and another wrote "Minus Brooklyn."

It's been reported that Brooklyn, 26, who is married to 31-year-old Nicola Peltz, is in the process of removing tattoo tributes to his family.

The aspiring chef has plenty of ink, including several tributes to his famous parents Sir David and Victoria Beckham, which he appears to be getting rid of.

Eagle-eyed fans recently noticed that the tattoos on his left hand, including the ones on the sides of three of his fingers, which housed each of his sibling's names, have been obscured by a black cloud drawing.

It was made more obvious in recent photos of him taken on a night out, as per The Sun.

The cloud also extended to the top of his hand, surrounding the existing tattoo of his wife's name Nicola, which can be seen in his most recent cooking video, posted on February 6.

The tattoos of his sibling's names were still visible as recently as January 30, when he posted another video.

Another photo shared by the publication shows that a tattoo tribute to his dad has been changed, removing the tribute and it's been reported that a chest tattoo dedicated to Victoria has also been covered up.

The tattoo swipes between the brothers come just weeks after Brooklyn unleashed on his estranged family in a blistering six-page statement shared on social media.

Rumours of a feud had been rumbling for months but it was all confirmed, with the eldest son of David and Victoria unleashing on their fractured relationship.

In the statement, he brought up the drama around Victoria not making Nicola's wedding dress, hijacking their first dance, the fights amid their family about Nicola not being welcome, their attempts to reconcile on David's 50th birthday and more.

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he wrote in one part.
