Pink marks the New Year in hospital with bandaged neck

Singer Pink has revealed she celebrated New Year's Eve from a hospital bed.

The 46-year=old shared the news on Instagram with a selfie showing her smiling despite being in a hospital gown and with a bandage on her neck.

In a lengthy caption she reflected on 2025 and gave a few details about what led to her hospitalisation.

"I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body," she said.

"It may not be a fancy face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it's worth. Rock 'n' roll is a contact sport."

The mum-of-two added that she was in hospital alone while her family was out snowboarding.

In her reflection, the singer, whose real name is Alecia Moore, admitted she was glad to say goodbye to 2025 after a "doozy" of a year.

While Pink found the past 12 months ranged from "absolutely devastating to mildly annoying", she said still saw the beauty in life.

Looking ahead she seems to have taken inspiration from the Chinese zodiac, encouraging her fans to "shed that old snake skin. And find our horsepower" - a reference to 2026 being the year of the horse.

"I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made. I hope and pray every person can make that wish, have that choice. I know that isn't a reality for some," she said.

"I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families and this very pursuit of happiness. Let's do better for ourselves and for others.

"Let's not be afraid to take care of ourselves and others. I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt. I'm going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. And I'm going to rage against the dying of the light. I'm going to reclaim my wild. And I'm going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness."

Among the highlights for Pink last year was singing with her 14-year-old daughter Willow at Radio City Music Hall in New York during a performance with Hugh Jackman.

The trio sang A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, along with Pink's hit song Who Knew.
