Kelly Clarkson's rare update on her kids after ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's death
Kelly Clarkson has given a subtle update on her two kids, five months after the death of their father and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
In a fan q&a posted to the official Kelly Clarkson Show YouTube channel, Clarkson was asked to share the one thing she does every day that "brings her joy".
Her answer was quick and simple: snuggle with her and Blackstock's two children, River and Remington.

"My kids, they're nine and 11. Kind of that special little fun stage where they can wipe their own behinds but they're still small enough to, like, love cuddling and love snuggles," she said with a smile.
"There's been a lot for our family recently and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit," she added.
"So it's my two dogs, my two kids and me. It's a lot.
"It's been really special, though, because ... the conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So that's probably my favourite time of day."

Blackstock died on August 7 after privately battling cancer for three years. He was 48.
His family confirmed the news in a statement to media.
"It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away," the statement shared with US outlets, including People read.
"Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years," the statement continued.
"He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time."
It was later confirmed that his official cause of death was melanoma, a form of skin cancer, and the manner of his death was natural causes.
"Brandon Blackstock passed away peacefully at his home in Butte, Montana on August 7th under hospice care surrounded by his family," Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis tells People.
Blackstock had four children, River, 11, and Remington, nine, whom he shared with Clarkson, and Savannah, 23, and son Seth, 18, from his previous marriage with Melissa Ashworth.
Clarkson and Blackstock were married for seven years. Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020 but remained present in his life as they co-parented their kids.
Moments before Blackstock's death was announced, Clarkson postponed some of her Las Vegas residency show dates due to a family emergency.
She revealed Blackstock had been unwell, so she was pulling back on her residency commitments to be there for their kids.
"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," the statement read in part.
"I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding."
