'House looks like a hospital': Pop star Jesy Nelson opens up about twins' devastating diagnosis in first interview
Jesy Nelson has shared new details about her twin daughters in an emotional new interview.
The 34-year-old pop star spoke for the first time since sharing the devastating news her eight-month-old girls, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, have Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition.
Speaking with This Morning hosts Cat Deeley, 49, and Ben Shephard, 51, she got teary as and said her whole life has changed since the diagnosis, sharing the girls will "probably never walk".

"My whole life has changed. My house looks like a hospital. My whole hallway is filled up with medical stuff and it's just crazy how you can go from one extreme to the next," she said.
"Bless Little Story, she has to be on a breathing machine at night because she isn't strong enough to breathe by herself at night.
"I have to put feeding tubes down their nose and I've had to learn this within a few days of getting their diagnosis, and it's so much while you're trying to deal with this horrendous thing that's just happened."

Nelson said at first she wasn't too stressed about their development after being told again and again that because they were born prematurely, they wouldn't meet milestones at the same time as every other baby.
She had raised concerns about their struggles with their breathing and movement in their legs, which is just "frustrating" because things could have been different with early intervention.
"I'm still struggling with it, I won't lie, but that is the part that like really gets me, is I just want to be their mum. I don't want to be a nurse... it's hard," she said, getting emotional.
The former Little Mix singer said she wanted people to know that if the condition is caught from birth, it could be life-changing.
"I actually knew and saw all of the signs before I even knew what SMA was," she said.
"But ... when I left [the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit] NICU, it was hammered home to me, 'Don't compare your baby ... they're not going to reach the same milestones, take them as they are' because they were premature," she continued.
Despite getting treatment, Nelson and her fiance have been told Ocean and Story are going to be in wheelchairs.
"We've been told that they will probably never walk, they'll probably never regain their neck strength. They are going to be in wheelchairs," she said.
"But listen, there have been so many stories where parents have been told this and their children have gone on to do incredible things, so I believe you've just got to manifest this."
Nelson said if this was the cards she was going to be dealt, it would be easier to accept, rather than knowing they missed the early warning signs.

Nelson gave birth to her twins prematurely at 31 weeks, in May 2025, having previously revealed she had experienced rare complications during the pregnancy.
