The singer and her partner sparked engagement speculation when they arrived at the world premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 1.

As they posed for photos on the red carpet, Cyrus proudly placed her left hand - showing off her new bling - across his chest.

She later confirmed the news, revealing that it had been special to be able to keep the engagement private for a while.

"The detail that I can share is that for us, our privacy and us kind of keeping it small has been something that I've been astounded that I've actually been able to have and being able to have more choice," she told People.

"I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing," she added.

Cyrus and Morando have been together for four years, and first met through a blind date.
