From Macaulay and Kieran Culkin to Catherine O'Hara: What the cast of Home Alone is up to now
Home Alone is one of the most iconic family films of all time.
The 1990 film, starring Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O'Hara, has also become a cult Christmas classic decades after its release.
Home Alone centres on Macaulay's character Kevin McCallister as he fights off house robbers after he gets left behind on a Christmas trip by his family. Join us as we take a look at where some of the cast of the movie are today.

Macaulay Culkin: Then
His leading role in the hit film, directed by Chris Columbus, helped put young Macaulay Culkin on the map.
The star was nine years old during filming and turned 10 when it came out.

He went on to become one of the biggest and most successful child stars of his generation.
He starred in major Hollywood films including My Girl, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Richie Rich.
Macaulay has said he doesn't watch some of the films that made him famous, telling Ellen DeGeneres of Home Alone: "I'm remembering that day on set, like, how I was hiding my Pepsi behind the couch. I can't watch it the same way other people can."
Macaulay Culkin: Now
The actor, who hails from New York City, is said to have a net worth as high as $US25 million (approximately $37 million).
In recent years, Macaulay has taken hiatus from the spotlight and lived in France, but recently made a comeback.
"I don't just turn my back, I actively don't want it," he said of the spotlight to The Guardian.
"The paps go after me because I don't w---e myself out."
After his appearance in photographs some years ago sparked concern, he told the publication, "No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever".
"The thing that bugged me was tabloids wrapping it all in this weird guise of concern. No, you're trying to shift papers."
Now he's a family man, sharing a family with actress Brenda Song, 37, known for The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and more recently Running Point.
He's recently voiced characters in Zootopia 2, and starred on American Horror Story.
In 2023, Macaulay was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cementing his star power.
Catherine O'Hara: Then
Canadian-born star Catherine O'Hara is known for portraying Kevin's mum, Kate McCallister, in the iconic film.
In the film, she had deep red hair.
The character has one of the most iconic lines in the film, screaming "Kevin!" when she realises the family has left him behind while sitting on the plane.
Catherine O'Hara: Now
O'Hara is known for plenty of her comedic and on-screen roles, including in Beetlejuice and Best in Show.
In more recent years, she's won a whole new legion of fans with hit TV show Schitt's Creek, starring opposite Dan Levy and Eugene Levy as eccentric matriarch Moira Rose.
The actress is married to Bo Welch, an American production designer and director. He directed 2003 film The Cat in the Hat.
O'Hara, 71, reunited with her onscreen son Macaulay as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She attended the ceremony and even delivered a speech at the event.

"Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," she said.
"And thank you for including me, your fake mum who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion. I'm so proud of you.
"I know you worked really hard, but you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do."
Kieran Culkin: Then
Yes, Macaulay's real-life sibling Kieran Culkin played his adorable on-screen cousin, Fuller McCallister, in Home Alone and Home Alone 2.
Home Alone is actually his very first acting credit.
He went on to star in films including Father of the Bride and She's All That.
Kieran Culkin: Now
Now 43, Kieran is incredibly successful in his own right.
The actor won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his role as Roman Roy in the hit drama Succession, which also stars Australian actress Sarah Snook and Brian Cox.
He's also won acclaim for his role in 2024 film A Real Pain, which earned the star his first Oscar, a SAG Award and a Golden Globe.
Kieran is married to Jazz Charton and they have three children.
Devin Ratray: Then
Every protagonisit needs a cheeky big older brother, and American actor Devin Ratray fit the bill.
He plays Kevin's sibling Buzz McCallister in the hit film.
Another big acting credit by his name is the 1993 film Dennis the Menace.
Devin Ratray: Now
He's now 48, and has appeared in films including Hustlers and Masterminds.
In 2024, he reportedly pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence.
John Heard
This is a sad one.
The late John Heard portrayed the patriarch of the McCallister family, Peter McCallister.
He was also known for his role in iconic show The Sopranos.
The star died in 2017, at the age of 71.
He was once married to late actress Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane.
Daniel Stern: Then
American actor Daniel Stern is known for playing the villainous robber Marv Murchins, one of the "Wet Bandits" Kevin goes up against in Home Alone and its sequel.
Daniel Stern: Now
He's now 68 and his most recent acting credit is in the TV series For All Mankind.
Stern has also done voice work for shows including Hey Arnold! and Family Guy.
Just this month, he told People he now lives on a farm in California with his wife.
"I did know that it was a gem of a movie," Stern told the publication about Home Alone.
"I love knowing that everybody loves it but, like, actual people come at me and say, 'We love it.' It's a little overwhelming sometimes."
Joe Pesci: Then
Joe Pesci had some serious acting credits to his name when he signed on to play Marv's right-hand man and sidekick, Harry.
They included Lethal Weapon 2 and 1990's Goodfellas, as well as Man on Fire.
Joe Pesci: Now
The New Jersey native is now 82, and recently starred in Martin Scorsese's 2019 film, The Irishman, alongside Robert De Niro.
He told People he was actually injured on set of Home Alone.
"In addition to the expected bumps, bruises, and general pains that you would associate with that particular type of physical humor, I did sustain serious burns to the top of my head during the scene where Harry's hat is set on fire," he revealed.
He added of returning to the role and films, "While you never say never, I think that it would be difficult to replicate not only the success but also the overall innocence of the originals."
