"We toured in 2019, we did a few stadium shows in the UK and it was incredible," she recalled.

The singer said the group simply wants to get it right, leading them to take a long time to bring a show to their fans.

"We're just so proud of the legacy that we have and we have fans now from new generations are just loving the Spice Girls, so I would like to get back on stage with the girls," she shared.

"We're talking and we're seeing what opportunities are out there.

"The thing that stops us is we feel so precious about it, we want to make sure it's the right thing and agree on the right thing."

It's not the first time the singer has hinted at a reunion tour.

The moment the Spice Girls found their identities

A few months ago, she appeared on 2Day FM's The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma and was asked whether, as the band's hit single Wannabe will be turning 30 next year, the girl group was in discussions to "do something special''.

When asked about persistent rumours, Mel C suggested she was up for it.

"I really hope so. It's 30 years next year since the release of Wannabe," she said.

"We have got to celebrate. We have to do something special."

"Obviously I can't say too much, but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour! That'll do me!"

Mel C, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell-Horner formed the Spice Girls in London back in 1994.

In 2019, the group reunited for a UK stadium tour, but Beckham was noticeably absent from the shows.
