Last year, before their deaths, they reportedly also told the outlet they wanted to share an urn together with their late mother and pet dog.

According to The Guardian, a spokesperson for an assisted dying association in their home country confirmed their choice to die at their home Grünwald, Germany.

They reportedly passed with a physician and lawyer present and police were soon told.

Assisted dying was made legal in Germany after it was ruled in 2020 that an individual has the right to end their life and to seek help from a third party as long as the decision is made freely without outside pressure.
