Barbara Palvin makes first red carpet appearance since revealing private health battle

Barbara Palvin has made her red carpet return at the opening night of the Venice Film Festival, just weeks after revealing her private health battle.

The model and wife of Dylan Sprouse looked stunning at the La Grazia premiere, which kicked off the 82nd edition of the famed festival in Italy.

The brunette beauty happily smiled for photographers and laughed as she interacted with them, even playing up some poses too on her arrival.

The 31-year-old shared a selfie from a hospital bed to social media earlier this month, opening up about her years-long battle with endometriosis and subsequent surgery.

"For some years now I've been dealing with the difficulties that can come with my periods," she wrote in the lengthy caption.

"Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me."

The face of Armani Beauty explained that three months after seeing a specialist she had surgery following a diagnosis.

"I've been going to checkups to my gynecologist every year, I thought if I had endometriosis I would have known about it by now, but as it turns out, endometriosis can't be diagnosed with general examinations," she wrote.

"So I went, and 3 months later I got operated on. Since then I finally experienced a period that was easier, and now I know the difference."

Palvin also revealed she'd taken three months off the grid to allow her body to "rest and fully heal".

"I'm excited about this new chapter of my life and now ready to get back to work," she added.

And just 10 days later she walked the carpet at the Sala Grande on the Lido looking enthusiastic about her return to public life and healthy.
